Team Catlin
We are the Catlins and we are one of the coolest families you will ever meet. We may be a small, young, little family....but we are way rad and believe me you want to get to know us. We love anything outdoors, especially camping and hiking.

The Catlin Students
Well Mommy finally got back into school. I have been wanting to go back for a while, but I always had some reason why I couldn't. Then one day I realized I had to just do it, just get off my butt go register and sign up for classes so I did. I have wanted o be a teacher since I was little. I have changed my mind a lot of times over the years but what I always come back to is teaching. So I'm on way to get my teaching degree. I start class on the 23rd of August (what a wonderful wedding anniversary gift....going back to school) I will be taking Developmental Psychology, Environmental Science (The Blue Earth), Math for Elementary Teachers and Spanish. It's gonna be really stressful and hard for a few years doing school full time and having a full time job, but I have to do it. Not just for me, but for Harper too. She deserves to have a lot more than she does. She is the smartest, brightest, most beautiful person I have ever met and she deserves the world. I just hope that some day we will be able to give it to her. Rob was so proud of me that he went and bought the sweetest card and a coke :) He is such a good husband. Harper will also start school on the 23rd, well actually she will start on the 24th cuz Mama Bear will be here on the 23rd. The school harper is going to is awesome. They have different class rooms. And in Harpers classroom all the kids have a cubby hole with their picture on it to help them remember which one is theirs to put their back pack in and hang their coats up in. The have different ares in her classroom, painting tables, reading circle, a kitchen to play cook in and a really nice brand new play ground out back designed just for kids her age. When we went to tour the place yesterday Harper was playing on the little play kitchen and she was cooking eggs. She is going to have so much fun at this place. They even have cameras in all the rooms so at any moment I can log in online and see what shes doing. She is going to be learning so much. I can't believe how big she is getting and that were going to buy her a back pack. I love her so much and I am so excited to see what the next chapter holds for our family.

Ugh I Hate Car Trouble!!!
So this morning were driving to drop Harper off at daycare on our way to work and the car is acting funny. I don't really know how to explain it, but when I would press on the gas it was not going very fast. It's like it never kicks into gear. We are supposed to be leaving Friday after work to go camping with my mom before we leave monday to go to denver. Rob is gonna take the car to auto zone when he gets off to see if they can hook their little computer up to it to see whats wrong with it. Everyone please pray its something not very expensive that maybe we can fix ourselves. I really hope this doesn't ruin our camping and our trip to denver. I really want rob's birthday to be super special this year. It has taken so much to save to buy tickets, to buy us both 311 shirts to wear, to get my mom to come stay with Harper so we can go on out first vacation without Harper. Thats right this is the first time we have ever left harper for more than one night to go do something just us. Thinking that our car could break down and ruin it all really upsets me.....but i guess till rob goes to auto zone we wont know.....ill keep yall posted

This could be our chance
Harper had to go to the doctor today, but she is fine. She had some not so pleasant diapers yesterday so we thought we would just get it checked out. So Rob and I found a dream job on craigs list. We are going on Monday to take our resumes and interview. I have a good feeling about it so far. I really think we could get this job and it could change everything for us. We are both trying to not stress about it and just think positive. Sooooo if everyone could send us good thoughts and pray for us. One more day of work and then.....the weekend! no big plans this weekend, just hanging around Taos and playing outside with Harpers 4 wheeler. Love yall

How is it already Wednesday?
I can't believe it is already Wednesday. I was gonna write all weekend to keep everyone updated on our festivities, o well. We had a really great weekend. We went to Santa Fe on Saturday and got Harper a hello kitty battery operated 4 wheeler, that she loves! And on our way to Santa Fe we stopped at a fruit stand on the side of the road and I tried real cherries for the first time. I don't know why I have never had a real cherry before, but I hadn't till Saturday. I think I thought they tasted like those nasty ones in the jar that people put on ice cream sundaes, anyways....I love them! We had a really good day in Santa Fe on Saturday, well except for Rob hating the flea market and making us leave and our horrible lunch. We went to this Mexican restaurant that looks really cool on the outside, it was horrible. We both wanted a strawberry margarita, well 5 minutes after we ordered them she came back and said they were out of strawberry. So rob just got a beer and I got a raspberry margarita. Well when the raspberry one finally got there I couldn't even drink it, because there was so much vodka in it. Yea that's right vodka...eww. So then I just ordered a beer. They brought it to me in a glass that still had soap scum on it. It tasted and smelled like soap. So needless to say i just drank water lol. It was one of those really hot days when a beer or a margarita sounds super good, but o well. We ordered a chicken chimichanga to split and it was HORRIBLE. It had the worst re-fried beans ever in it. After lunch is when we decided to go get Harper her first big girl toy. It was so fun. Buying her that I felt like the best mom in the whole world. Just knowing that we had done that all on our own. Nobody had to help us buy it, nobody bought it for her because we couldn't afford it, we did it for her. Don't get me wrong I love that everyone helps us out so much. Harper would not have half of the cool stuff she has without yall, but this was the first time that rob and I had done something really awesome for Harper and it felt amazing. Sunday we went to the parade in Arroyo Seco. The streets were jam packed with people. It was cool to see that many people there, but way chaotic and not worth it. Harper was in the stroller with Kalistah and Joey was pushing them. Well we took too long leaving the house and Joey and the girls were off. Then when we got to the parade Rob took Rozi to go look for them. So within 5 minutes of being at the parade I lost my baby, my husband, and my dog lol. We finally found each other again and fed all the girls strawberries. They loved them! After the parade we all went home and took a family nap. It was nice to re charge before going to see fireworks that night. We drove to Eagles Nest with Amy, Eric, and Zayla. We got to go to Eric's family cookout to let the girls play. They had so much fun and Harper went on her first tire swing. Then it was off to the fireworks. We had a pretty good spot at the lake to watch them, but like dum dums we all forgot blankets to wrap up in. Well except the girls, they had their blankies to keep them warm. So we ended up leaving a little early, but as soon as we got back in Taos county we saw the finale there, so it was all good. All in all I would say it was one of the best 4th of July weekends that we have had.

Just another Manic Monday
Just sitting at work, bored....as usual. We have two summer camps that are staying at the hotel right now. A college German school and a ballet school of 8-17 year olds. This is going to be a long month to say the least. I heard a 12 year old today say that she cant drink a 5 hour energy because it will ruin her metabolism. First of all your 12, you don't need a 5 hour energy anyways! Second of all, wait ten years have a baby and then complain to me about metabolism. I have had 2 different groups of ballerina moms come in and not say one word to me. I always say hello to everyone that walks in. They just ignored me like I didn't exist. Ugh sometimes I can't stand people. And I am realizing why I have very few girl friends. I feel so lucky to have the few close friends that I do have, Rob (the most amazing husband and daddy ever) and Harper (the coolest kid in the whole world) and my family all over the country.
Anyways.....I can't wait for this weekend. 4th of July and camping at angel fire! It's gonna be awesome, unless the burn ban is not lifted and then it won't be as fun cuz we won't see fireworks! Well thats all for now.

Harper and Mommy day
Pt. 1 Ok I know I'm really bad about writing on this but I'm really gonna try to do better. Today daddy had to work so it's just me and Harper today. As soon as Harper woke up she kept saying "daddy?" "Where daddy?" She sure is a daddys girl. The weather here is great today and that means we get to play outside! Harper's four incisor teeth are finally starting to pop through. After 3 weeks of teething they are finally starting to pop through. This morning I told Harper that my tummy hurt and I needed her to be super nice to me today and she gave me a hug AND a kiss! Then she kissed my tummy. She really is the best. She is starting to rub her eyes so I think she is ready for a nap. I'll post more later
Pt. 2 So Harper has slept alot today. She took a really long nap while I layed on the couch, did laundry, and watched lifetime movies. It finally rained! Now hopefully we can have campfires when we go camping next week. All of Taos is under an extreme burn ban. So this rain today is much needed! well off to more laundry!

Ok so i know i haven't written anything on here in a really long time and im super sorry! Everything is going amazing. Harper is already 11 pounds and 6 weeks old. This week I went back to work, it's hard to be away from her for that long at once, but I know it's good for me and the extra money is good too. Saturdays are daddy daughter day, while I'm at work Rob hangs out with Harper all day. He is such an amazing daddy. I got my hair cut today and it looks really good! Merry Christmas to me from Rob. Well that's all for now, but I promise I will get better at writing on here and putting up more pictures. The one of all 3 of us was the first family picture we took after harper was born. The other 3 are when she was 4 weeks old. My friend adriann took them. There are so many good pictures of her, I just chose my favorite to put up on here for today. We are doing amazing. We love you all! Merry Christmas from Rob, Jordan, and Harper!
